Art

To artists, art is what they make, to musicians, art is their music, to poets art is their poems. I say art is anything that we see or hear that express or show us the emotions and feelings of someone else. To me, art is about releasing what you feel in a way that others may feel that too. Art can be historical, religious or cultural. I have always thought of art as a portal between two worlds, or should I say, two minds. This is because art connects us.
For example, the Mona Lisa or the Starry night are paintings done by artists from around the world.
Because of these artists we now know about the art and   cultures of other countries. Art brings us together and       connects us. It helps us to find out more about other artists     from other countries and this leads to diversity.

Another thing about art is that it doesn't have to be perfect to be considered art. Look at these artworks below. They are messy, not very organized and the colors are overlapping each other.  But it is still art. It is still pleasing to the eye and tells the story of the creator.
Art can also be made anywhere, using anything and by anyone. I mean, you do not have to be an artist to create something creative and beautiful. As long as you feel the emotions existing in what you have created, it is art. Therefore, by making art, it may cause you to understand yourself better and so it may help in finding yourself.

To be honest, creating art is about feeling your emotions and just letting them out. This is a great way to get rid of stress or anxiety and may cause you to be a better person. Any type of art, whether it be sculptures, paintings, pottery, collages, tie dyes can release your inner thoughts, desires and dreams in an entertaining and interactive way.

It is messy, but creative.
Art is a great way to get rid of boredom too. Instead of just killing time playing a video game or watching TV, try drawing a simple sketch or painting a picture. You'll see that time may stand still when you are busy getting crafty and creating something.

It is a fun way of recycling things too and opens your imagination to seeing something for more than what it is. For example, the empty water container that you have thrown away could be used to make a flower vase or the empty shoe box into a jewellery box. This is not only good for you but it is good for the animals, plants, the environment and the Earth itself.

So, there are many benefits to making art. It is a better use of your time, it gives you a deeper sense of self, it is a great way to tell a story or display emotions and feelings, it can come in different forms and can come from different places. Art is whatever you make it to be. if you think of art as paintings and pictures than that's what it is and if you think of it as sculptures and songs than that's what it is. Everyone has their own view on what art is but that is what art is about, bringing those views together where they are both appreciated and respected.
